very nice mate
and welcome
hi all , i have an 2006 astra
i think some call this model the GTC it's the 2 litre turbo
, so i have almost completed the debadging and opelizing .
parts prove a little difficult to find and most have to be ebayed from UK
i have stage two bluefin map fully decatted and a K&N cold air intake and dropped by a set of H&R springs next hit will be intercooler set up from tophat to turbo then will move to the VXR turbo , injectors and AFM
will be good to bounce some feedback of you guys/girls as over here these cars arent well known here (can be good can be bad) on what my next mods will be

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
welcome mate ........ very nice ride mate ...... looks hot
Welcome buddy! Theres another GTC on this forum to look out for!

cheers guys , yes really happy with progress thus far
just recently (well in august) had her dynoed to see where i was at
at a club event and got a reading of 145 kw not too bad
but was a little disapointed with the drop off at 4k apparently its were it dumps fuel to cool turbo (didnt really understand that i just jump in and drive )
anyways the bluefin map is a bit rich (ok alot), will get this sorted when i get to stage 3 as its not damaging anything then when i have that done will get it dyno tuned to clean up the curve
from what i here with stage 3 map i will probably get it through thorney motorsport

Welcome! Like your signature... I want one like that .
Our cars are pretty similar, I've also got the VXR splitter/foglights + OPC grill, but I'm running an EDS map. Interesting comparing the two, I'll let you draw your own conclusions:
That's everything stock bar intake (I have the 1.9CDTI airbox) and remap.
Was your dyno run on the fully decatted exhaust? Would have expected a little higher, but it's possible the vxr-online rumour that decatting the exhaust costs low-mid performance is true. (Possible due to cats heating the exhaust, exothermic reaction and all that - still not sure if I believe it).
Nice looking car but if I do say so myself..
yeah mate signature is from a track day at Taupo racetrack (me attempting a clover) the precat was done pretty much almost as soon as i got the car, the second cat was removed the weekend prior to dyno , also the day before i installed some NGK iridium plugs
looks the goods mate.
sig might be considered a lil big by admin tho, maybe just scale it down a little bit.
keen to watch your trans-tasman progress
sweet will scale down sig tonight when i get home (dont wanna russle any feathers ) will leave that for the road
is anyone hear familar with the forge intercooler kit , i have been seriously looking at getting it just allot of coin so wanna make sure its all good before grabbing one
