got my copy installed today, Professional x64, runs a charm! Click here to enlarge

Although sometimes i felt the RC actually ran a bit quicker, just responsiveness wise. Games seem to run silky smooth as before.

Note: Ive had issues with the latest 64 bit win7 Nvidia drivers, the old ones 190.38 were fine, but now running 191.07 and had a couple of blue screens on boot with nvidia drivers being the culprit. Common nvidia, bad timing! fix it fix it fix it!

You can look at this as Windows 7 Release, or Windows Vista SP3/4

Either way, this is worth having NOW - Even the first beta was better then the current VISTA with all patches and sevice packs.

I am the guy responsible for creating, supporting and upgrading our desktop environment (Over 1000 PC's). We never seriously considered implementing Vista.

WE are moving to Windows 7 x64 ASAP. (Ie, THIS YEAR)

    Cheers

    Does anyone remember Windows Me?

I skipped Vista and wondering which was the bigger fail -- Me or Vista?

    i dunno
    2000 SP1 was pretty bad......
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Millenium wasn't 'that' bad, Vista is probably the o/a worse one so far...

Most companies I've worked for or associated with over the last several years have skipped it too...

Millenium WAS THAT BAD. Vista wasnt as good as it was promised to be, but it still did have improvements over XP. 7 is now what vista should have been.

and yes, i do remember dos. i started fiddling with computers when i was 5, on a 386 ICL machine with DOS. i believe Rock Man was my favourite game.
