Where'd you get it from? Is it a RC copy or a full version?

    Nice Click here to enlarge

Well unless it came with two separate DVDs (the Retail version didn't, it just came on a single 'combo' DVD I believe) then it should ask you when installing - during a clean install, that is.

Unfortunately as I don't have anything but RC media, I can't tell you from experience Click here to enlarge

you bought a toshiba didnt ya Jay?

heres what you have too, yes it a fuk around, but this is the way to get win7 64.

Do a system restore on it, takin it back to vista.
this will then give you the option to choose 32 or 64 bit.

the win7 disc you received will only upgrade your system to the type of OS that is existing on it, ie 32 or 64 bit.

any probs mate gimme a call

didnt see your post before i got it to work mate,
    but what i did is...
tried to clean install again, got to installing point and realised it wasnt going to do it for me, so i cancelled installation.
rebooted pc and all of a sudden the choice of 32 and 64 flashed up, hehe!
i now have 32 and 64 bit internet explorers...

yer you will, with 7 what it does is most programs will run in 32 bit mode

then the ones that are 64 bit compatible will run in 64 bit mode.

any problems with drivers or bit yet mate?

yes, cant seem to get my elm327 to work (drivers to install), and need it to test the astra before i go for my services at xmas, so holden dont try to rip me.
youtube doesnt work with 64bit, tells me i need latest flash, but flash doesnt like 64bit.
i expected driver problems with 64bit cos thats what everyone has been raving about in 32 vs 64 discussions all over the net, but most discussions i found were from 06-07 so im assuming most problems will be ironed out by now.
i havent installed many of my programs yet so i may find more in the next few days/weeks.
