this mornings herald sun, page 9....
a loose battery caused this fire, ending mark winterbottom's bid in the FPR falcon
yet on the tv this morning, they said it was a burst fuel line Click here to enlarge which one was it?
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Edit.. Scratch that.. Page 77 says a loose battery damaged the fuel line...

    Channel 7's coverage was sensational.
Every year they seem to raise the bar with new angles, in cars, pit lane fly wire cams, better choppers in the sky, Pit lane tech talk etc etc... the list goes on.

Just watch 7 pick up award for "Best TV Sporting Coverage" yet again later this year.

ps: Just ashame Owen Kelly (co driver) put Russell Ingall's car into the wall in the wet,
    as they were up there.
He should have kept Tim Slade as his co driver..

Anyway, it all over for another year Click here to enlarge
