Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
It can work fine for an hour then I come back and it just times out.

I have been on optusnet cable for about 10 years now. No recent dropouts or issues.
My Auntie recently changed from Telstra to DODO, and she regretted it so much she cancelled and went to TPG instead.
Seriously, I never realized cable was so much faster then DSL (Despite what the advertising says).
Because I am on an old plan that they cannot change unless I ok it, the price, bandwidth and speed is excellent, but modern plans suck.
Cheers

At work: ISP is probably Telstra. No issues at all.
At home: TPG. I've given up accessing OpelAus there, ever since the server migration...
