    Help buying '03 Astra

Guys, got a lady friend of mine interested in buying an Astra. Her budget is $14,000, so she's probably gotta settle for the previous shape.

Anyone come across any good deals lately?

Start looking from about page 31. Negotiate anything from $16,500 ish down to 14 and below.

What are they after? Man/auto? 3dr, 5dr, wagon, sedan?

Steer her towards a 2.2L version. THis will save her the cost and hassles of future cambelt changes. This seems to be the single biggest issue people have with Astras. Also, the 2.2L versions get bigger brakes that seem to reduced the number of issues people seem to have with Astra brakes (rotor and pad changes)
