yep, it sucks. I pay three regos a year. The one due this month ($612) is for a car I've driven 3 times in last 4 years, and those times were all within the first month of owning it.

rego alone in NSW only around the $200 mark max... CTP is the killer@$400-$550...

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
i have recently been quoting nsw vehicle owners at work up to $760 for ctp/greenslips. it sucks. unfortunately with the government regulating it, we can't do anything about them
