Resonator Removal

OK, is is it the rear or centre "resonator" that your looking at removing...Sorry just a little hard to picture exactly which one your thinking of...

If its the rear one, i would literally take of the stock one and see how loud it is....That will then give you an idea of how much extra sound suppression you need in the new system.

If its the centre "resonator", thats a little more difficult....But still the same principle....

Im looking at keeping stock muffler so the centre resonator....

its just a matter of getting it cut out and replacing it with a straight pipe by my muffler guy....

shouldnt cost too much but will defintly make a difference, enough to keep me happy anyway.

If you're going that way I would get him to cut it out and replace it with a new section, but use flanges so that if you want/need/have to in the future put in a centre section it will be much easier...

I'll have to look at when i can get an early day off to do it but will update the thread if i get around to it.

yeah btu only a little bit..... so you dont lose much back pressure.

for the turbo its good... im hoping there will be no power loss for the 2.2

i got the turbo ts and got no resinators and got full 3 inch from the turbo back with a nice rear muffler

tbh i dont think theres much to be gained from removing the reso and keeping the standard muffler
