The resonator is there for sound suppression...In theory, as long as the car continues to meet noise and emissions its still "legal"....
So the questions really is, how loud will it be with the resonator removed???

Reports say 20% louder on normal driving
and more on full throttle........

I'm after something loud but not too loud, something that sounds like its still stock.... but i really want that dronish sound like the DTM BMW 320s
I dont exactly know everything to do but want to try the resonator removal... if that sounds good to me then thats all i want.

OK, is is it the rear or centre "resonator" that your looking at removing...Sorry just a little hard to picture exactly which one your thinking of...
If its the rear one, i would literally take off the stock one and see how loud it is....That will then give you an idea of how much extra sound suppression you need in the new system.
If its the centre "resonator", thats a little more difficult....But still the same principle....
