What kind of engine oil do you use?

I thought I would ask this question as I am about to get my car serviced and I don't like the oil I have now

    Engine: 4A91 MIVEC

    Current oil:
    Factory stuff

    Previous oil:
    Factory stuff

    Feeling:
Was ok, but now that it is close to service time I have noticed a slight lack of power through mid-range and it's a bit noisy now at idle

Feeling: a lot, its a Diesel! Seriously now, this is seriously good oil. Bloody expensive, too... Changing every 15,000km.

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

    Current oil:
    Shell Helix Plus 10w40

    Previous oil:
Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 (used during colder months)

    Feeling:
Since I change my oil every 5000 km's I tend not to go for the expensive stuff. Engine runs very smoothly and recently when I changed the timing chain I was impressed with how clean the internals were.
