yeah I was watching that on Saturday night - you know it's not good when they don't move around afterwords (remembered Senna and also Ratzenberger's fatal crashes).
Hopefully this is the bad luck over for a while.

yeah get todays (27/07/2009) Herald sun...there is a close up of the above pic...you can see the damage to the helmet clearly...man his eyes are like WTF JUST HAPPENED
If you look at the video he was hit by the spring and 100% he was knocked out. lookes like he tried to hit his brakes last min but I doubt he knew what was going on

I was speaking to some friends who've seen/been given details of the telemetry from his car...
As commented before, the spring weighed approx 800gr's and the car showed a deceleration force of over 1G when Massa was hit and he was doing 174MPH or 280KPH....
He was still on the throttle the right up until he hit the tyres but he definitely did hit the brakes. But they are not sure if it was that he slumped onto the pedals or he actually tried to slow the car...Sickening either way....

Scary, freakish accident, he is very lucky it didn't hit 2cm lower, it most likely would have killed him, if not given him blindness and some form of brain damage!!

Yeah I reckon cos his brain went into trauma his body would have gone into some sort of spasm. I would guess like a mini stoke of sorts
