Well mate, my calibra's angel eye rings are fixed so no caps or covers to revel any led bulbs that are lighting it. I figure a cheap version of old school technology of some type of ccfl ring. Quite possibly is a way to take the whole thing appart and put CCFL rings at some stage but from what I can gather its only one light source at the bottom of my rings that lights the rings.
as for your bright hot spot led's.. so I think you said they are T5? get bulbs that have leds coming from all sides not just the front facing for best spread of light.
Hmmm I see yeah, best bet is to just try get to it to see what's actually emitting the light, and ccfl can be picked up at reasonable prices on eBay I reckon.
Yeh very true thanks, will wait to see if my order gets delivered to see how they look, if no good I'll source out what ya mentioned
Ordered on the 1st of Oct and they were post marked the 3rd... wasn't that when you ordered as well? Started the install... cigarette lighter LED in Not sure how i'm supposed to tell the colours of the dash LEDs apart before i install them seeing i got two different colours... would be nice to know before i start putting them all in!
NAh... but good idea, i can probably borrow one.
Order arrived. So redid angels and a couple lights inside.
Did my heater panel and MFD LEDs last night... much nicer now, think i found a couple of rattles and fixed them as well. Just the instrument cluster to go. For the record, white LEDs are always the ones with the yellowish lenses.
Picking up my new little opel today hooefully :-)
