Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
So far, I got the Z18XE from the GSi sitting in the SRi and have hooked up most of the accessories, pipes, etc. Got a few more little things to do, but it shouldn't take too long. I thought I had busted the cam sensor when removing it off the old engine the little brass insert didn't come out with the sensor. I removed said brass insert and managed to put it back in place, only to find the wiring itself had gone brittle and started to fray.
I somehow think I'll have this registered and going before the iCrapvan is finished.

Serviced the turbo. New 15/40 penrite oil. And full coolant flush. Nicked the coolant overflow bottle off the van as the turbo one had finally given up and completely snapped last night. It had been cracked for a couple of weeks so I knew it was gonna go soon. Also realised that the maf WAS actually on the wrong way around @dutchy @guy 27. I had checked it before but thought it was on the right way. Turns out my right way was the wrong way. In the process of fixing it I broke the cabling to the plug. The little blue cable has actually popped out of the plug so I need a new cable.
