Getting a mortgage and hoping to start a family, so really have to watch my spending and find something with bigger and better rear access, and an even lower cost of ownership than the Astra. Hopefully I will find myself in an Opel again one day. Perhaps an Insignia OPC wagon or a Zafira OPC? We will see!

Started on the SRi tonight. I'll be ready to pull the engine out tomorrow night as all I need to remove now is the heater hoses and the engine mount. It also looks as if I'll be investing in some worm drive hose clamps to replace those annoying spring clamps.
Swapped the front wheels over between the SRi and GSi, but I struck a problem on the rears as the SRi has lock nuts and some trigger happy tyre jockey did the buggers up with a rattle gun making the damn things hard to remove. Easy enough fixed, I'll just use a rattle gun to undo them. Only problem is that I've only been working on the car at night in an open carport, so I don't really want to fire up the air compressor and disturb the neighbours. I guess I can do that Saturday morning. Must say, the fronts look alright on the SRi.

Be happy you ain't in nsw. For the gf to get her car a rwc, ctp greenslip and Rego will be around 500 for 6months. Double that for a yr. The roadworthy (pink slip) is only yearly and cheap(50). The Rego is only about 180-190 but it's the damned compulsory third party greenslip that stings us nsw guys.
