Replaced the high pressure power steering hose on the GSi after almost suffering heatstroke in the process. Steers a lot better now, lol. Contemplating getting started on the brakes later on today.
Cleaned out a bit of rubbish & stuff from the car, collected all bits n pieces from the parts bin and put those in the boot, gathered 90% of all invoices I could find for work done on the car and parts bought, checked the oil and coolant, and now she's ready to go to a new home after the weekend With no sight yet of the new car...... guess I'll be cruising on my bike for a little while

Changed the oil well my brotek mechanic did!
Oh yeah.. Forgot to update
Had that rubbish Castrol magnatec shit in there. Was running rough after 9000kms and since the new car warranty ended last month it was my chance to get under it.
Here's what I replaced it with
Old stuff
Actually wasn't that bad tbh
Took it for a run and it made a bit of a difference. Not as noisy now and starts easier. Should be right until it's 6yr service in April now
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
Packed the family into the Veccy and drove it to the drive-ins
Oil is one of those things which you can't really tell how well it's working by looking at it, unless it's thick and lumpy.
An oil which is jet black may be doing a good job as it's suspending the contaminates in the oil. An oil that appears clean may just be leaving the contaminates in the engine.

Stupid part is, it was 10 degrees cooler than yesterday and I was running around delivering parcels in mid 40s heat without a problem. Plus, I'm not much into sports, so I've gotta have another hobby.
Anyway, got the Cali brakes and Greenstuff pads on the front now. Stops a bit better, but is making a racket from the pads bedding in.
