Lol. And yep - non-IDS shocks are $350 for a set, and according to the seller actually a very good shock - not much between them and bilsteins. IDS shocks may be better even better... I mean, they have 3 accelerometers spread throughout the car, a controller, and are integrated with ABS/TC and ESP, and have been tuned extensively. Even stiffening to reduce brake diving. Somehow I feel more tuning will have gone in to them then an off the shelf aftermarket shock, but who knows =/.

I probably will end up with bilsteins when my current ones need replacing though - the SRi-T ones are just as pricey..

Spoke to GSL about the same thing, he said the only shocks available are Konis but am unsure if they work with the IDS, i can PM you the prices if you're interested!

No other shock will work "with" the IDS, but they can replace it... and quality conventional dampers may well work better then the OEM IDS setup, who knows.

Very doubtful people swapping out their magnetic ride suspension on HSVs for coilovers are doing the right thing though..

lol way to get reamed.... incorrect profile.. wtf?!
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....
