Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

I thought the car handled well before but there is just no comparison now, keeping in mind that the original shocks were totally f***ed hand had very little function left. I was able to take corners a lot faster than normal with plenty of confidence whereas I didn't before. I wish I had of got the Bilsteins alot earlier.

    Ok, another one..

    Bilsteins B8s with KW Springs.

Alittle too stiff I thought... not sure if it's the springs or dampers.

I should have tried the B8s and Eibach combo, but sold the Eibachs a month back DOH..

Stiffness not so great- handling is fantastic. I don't think I have been close to the limit of handling yet driving on normal roads. Very reassuring handling. Makes the GTI feel like a boat.

Bilsteins/KW replaced H&R Coilovers which was very supple, unfortunately at their highest setting they would bottom out over large bumps. With higher profile tyres they would scrub. I couldn't win! lol.

Thanks to Steve for the suspension swap while I was overseas.
