Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Was looking at the back of the car wondering "I wonder what that is hanging down" and finding out i've snapped an exhaust mount right off the rear muffler

Quick and fairly cheap job to fix though. You'll be abusing that exhaust again in no time once she's all fixed. Nah, waiting for pay day then she'll go back in. Need a full presure test done from the turbo to the head, new fuel rail with adjustable fpr and guage (Once EDS return my email), fit the exhaust bracket and just some bespoke mounts etc to go in.

Fitted Continental Sport Contact 2 225/45R17s tyres on the front of my Astra. They were the spare tyres from the GTI.
Better ride, haven't had a chance to push them, but I can tell I will scrape my front bumper less.
