Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

yup, just vacuum and wipe with warm soapy water before conditioning it.

Reminds me I should do clean the leather in both cars.

oh... what did I do today?

Finally got the door seal on the GTI fixed.. after taking the GTI back to South Yarra VW for the fifth(!) time.

VW service is like Holden's, just worst and more expensive... but most (stupid) VW drivers think their cars are precious and therefore continue to go back the dealer to get reamed.

(door seal was replaced twice under warranty.. VW are pretty good at warranty claims, also got my air cond replaced)

And the shampoo doesnt leave that shiny look, u can actually see that its clean.
My VW dealer was great until they quoted $1952 for a 60k service (timing belt). still bloody expensive though

havent done anything to my cars today but will fuel up the calibra tonight considering it only has 31kms left

    I call it VW tax..

hazrd- I know you're a Westie, so unsure of any good VAG specialist around your area, but I and my family take our VAGs to James @ Audvolks in Clayton.

    Much more reasonable prices.

$1,9xx is very pricey, even accounting for the VW tax... should be much cheaper than that at the dealer. Your engine's basic design is like the Z20LEx, been around for a long long time.. so there shouldn't be anything too tricky that hasn't been encountered before.
