Agree with everyone else, 50psi is way over the top for your wheels there - hope you've dropped it down to say about 34-36psi max. Click here to enlarge

You'll definitely have a case of 'concavity' on your tyres and cause uneven wear on the tread centres...

You'll also be at a much higher risk of a blow out and leaking with such a high pumped up pressure...

I'm running hi performance 30series tyres on my 20" rims, these are the sort of tyre sizes/type that require the highest operating pressures and they're set at 40psi max. just to give you some idea for comparison Click here to enlarge

hit a rock at 50 psi and I'd bank on coming close to popping a tyre

I have 17s on mine, profile 40 and running 32psi nitrogen all round for 12months + with no issues whatsoever, might increase them slightly tho

are your tyres XL tyres darkirv and larger than the stocks? cause i mean no matter what psi you put your car upto chances are your load limits of your tyres will never handle what the stocks could, if your tyre distrubutor has put non XL tyres on your low profiles it will cause less life in your tyres, less traction and chance of pre-mature blow outs.

But if your tyres are XL tyres your PSI levels shouldnt differ from your stocks PSi levels as yes there is less diameter to your tyres, but the width contradicts this, making total Air Volume almost the same.

back OT, debadged my car just then hope AusPost hurries up with my badges/stickers/eyelids Click here to enlarge. also changed my MFD to blue/green coloured. Now to order steering wheel dome badge and opel engine cover

40psi to LOW!!!! Seriously, WTF!!! Click here to enlarge

Standard pressures on normal tyres are 28psi to 34psi!!!!!

Sports tyres 38psi to 40psi if you really want to have the sidewalls stiffened up for some reason...I run my current 215/40/17's at 38psi...My race tyres at 34psi front and 36psi rear...And yes, the 2 extra psi makes a HUGE difference....

Race tyres on things like Porsche GT3's, V8 Supercars etc...Between 25 and 35psi....

At 50psi, you're over inflating the tyre by about 20 to 25%!!!!!

They will likely last 5000kms before the centre of the tread starts to show serious signs of wear, they will overheat and weaken the carcass as well as having no give at all the first thing you hit with a sharpish edge wil slice right through them instead of it giving a little...

As said before, I ran 215/35/18's and they are one if not the lowest actual profile tyre available (actual sidewall dimension/thickness) and I never ran those over 42psi....
