Just think of it that all that money goes to a good (and fun) cause.

Look at new motor time for my car, suspected rod bearing failure on the let, not overly surprised at 194k kms but was hoping to get a few more months out of it. At least it is still drivable for now even if I am driving it completely off boost.

Hopefully be starting on engine build in the coming week, aiming at a forged vxr motor.

Car starts and runs fine when cold there is no noise from engine as it warms up getting a rattle from it under load, when cruising it is almost quiet. Gets worse the hotter the engine gets.

It started happening after a track day so I was lucky not to have a rod decide it didn't want to be part of the engine any more. I don't think it is completely gone yet but it is only a matter of time.

Will just build up the new motor and get it swapped in to the car hopefully within the next month.

Dropped the car in for a service at a new mechanics I'm trialling down here. They talked the right talk, so that's positive. New plugs, oil, filter and fuel filter should keep it happy.

They have good contacts for things like intercoolers and exhausts down here so I can start building a base of good installers (that aren't over an hour away) finally.

    Cheers
