Ive had the coil pack die before though and it was gradual missfiring everynow and then until it eventually dropped a cylinder.

This was literally car fine on the way to work. Car not so fine after work.

Cant get to the car with tools until tomorrow before work sadly so the wait continues.

Funnily enough I had the coil pack go in the Corsa C I had. Came up in torque that that's what it was. You can clear the codes while you're driving, it gives some extra drive time before the error comes up again.

Also to add I bought torque, so I'm using the paid version no the free version

The paid version does have some added features but Im not really sure what those are (or if they are useful at all). The free version of Torque also has fault logging and clearing so I guess only for that it would be worth it with the bleatooth elm thingy for a few dollars Click here to enlarge

Does Torque do live data logging?

Like if I go for a burn, will it record my AFRs over a set period?

Finally getting around to getting one of those OBDII adapters and I've heard sometimes the aftermarket tophats don't seal properly and can mess with your AFRs or similar.

    Cheers

It does have data logging. I'll have a fiddle on the way home from work tonight and see what I can come up with

In the settings of the paid app you can apply atmospheric correction. I had to set mine to -14.7 otherwise it was saying idle vac was ~-15 in.Hg where as my gauge was indicating closer to -30 in.Hg.

On the topic of fault codes though, I find the free app is better at that than the paid version.

It doesn't really do AFR but it definitely does data log. You can export as a .csv and then open in Excel. You can fiddle with the polling rate but it is hard to find a balance between "often enough to capture the data" and "not often enough that I end up with 100000 data points for a 5min log". Here is an example of some logging that I have done in the past:

None of the logging can give you AFR readings you need to get a wideband sensor.

Yeah, at the end of the day, it's a narrowband sensor and the best it can tell you is if it is lean, stoich, or rich (as shown in Pete's pic)
