So I washed the car plus I finally got around to painting my console trims black in preparation for the black double-din main upper console I have coming oh and I replaced the leather gators around the shifter/handbrake.

PS: WTF is that grey rubber shit that covers our standard console inserts? I had to scratch it off then use turps and sandpaper to prep the bits before painting...........

Powerflex front engine mount kit install

Installed the Powerflex front lower engine mount kit to the Astra G today. Such an easy job after first looking at the YouTube video.
The result from first impressions are a smoother idle and gear changes feel more precise. Also no signs of increased NVH, which is good.
My original engine mount was showing signs of perishing and quite soft by comparison. So a great result.
I bought the kit through Powerflex Australia (Melbourne). The kit cost $64.90 and was available for pickup 3 days after I ordered - which was sensational. I could have picked it up, but chose to have the kit posted so a little more expense but the kit was posted very quickly.
So if you want to do this upgrade the kit PN. is PFF80-810.
Andre Morgan at Powerflex was most responsive and keen to do business with all Astra owners. His contact number is 03 9568 8080 or [email][email protected][/email

Hey that looks awesome and seems like it was relatively easy. Got a link to any of the videos you watched? I've heard they're a great almost no-cons modification.

    Cheers

M, the video is as follows. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_hfyCQY9Mk
If that doesn't display, Google "front engine mount holden astra"
Took longer to get all the tools assembled than do the job. I did give the mount a good clean and had to guess the torque specs, as I couldn't get my TR onto the two torx bolts.
I will keep an eye on them over the next few weeks.

I have yellow drivers side and gearbox mounts and a red Courtenay sport front mount.

My exhaust has actually partially melted the front mount lol

Oh nice, that actually looks relatively simple! Might put it on the list to give it a go.

I've been meaning to get a torque wrench so this might be the reason for!

    Cheers
