Is the maf installed the right way? Iirc on my car the arrow points to the front of the car instead of "the flow direction" as i originally thought =)

    They may be different though

That was one of the first things I checked. The sensor is definitely facing toward the airflow.

Car spits all sorts of codes and barely starts if the arrow is pointing the other way.

Z18XE is certainly an engine that rides the short yellow bus =)

Any engine with a MAF will do the same thing if you get it on the wrong way.

@Raisin, Other thing I found with the Z20LET MAF, and others will find it too, if you move the connector too far (particularly with fitting the crossover delete), one of the wires will separate from the inside of the connector and throw out a code. I fixed mine by stuffing the wire back in to contact the terminal, cable tie on the wire to stop it from moving around unnecessarily and filling the gap around that wire with hot glue. Works fine so far.

I think you guys are both saying the same thing, the arrow on the MAF housing, points toward the air filter, opposing the airflow.
@chris_r Hmm ok, I will check inside the sleeving and see if it might be that.
