Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Empty car park and just press and depress the clutch so you know the friction point.

No need to even step on the accelerator. Once you learn how to get the car moving by just depressing the clutch you're 80% there.

Installed gear and handbrake boots and cleaned the interior in prep for the Downshift meet. Not really happy with how high the gear boot has to sit. If i have the zippy tie around the same place the factory one was, the boot frumples and gathers around the leaver mechanism that stops the stick from going all the way over to reverse. As it is it looks nice and doesnt harm driving, im just being picky Click here to enlarge

Pics to come later as it was dark when i did it.

I think I'd be able to in an emergency situation. I don't know how the gearbox and clutch would fair up and I'd definitely be sticking to the left lane but I would be able to at least get to the hospital
