I'm looking at a new car, either a AH SRi Turbo or a VXR. Has any one driven one from over East to Perth, and knows what needs to be done to license it in WA?

May as well spend the extra and get the VXR over the regular SRi Turbo. The Z20LEH in the VXR has a few extra little tweaks, like oil squirters under the pistons to help keep them cool.

As for rego in WA, contact your local authority for more details. Trust me, it's not that hard to make a phone call and ask. If it's anything like SA though, any car from interstate pretty much just needs a Tier 2 identity check, which is roll up to the inspection station, get them to check engine numbers, VIN, etc. and pray that it ain't stolen. After that, it's roll around to the rego office, register the car and get your new plates.

Man, I wish i t was that easy in NSW, you need a blue slip which is a major roadworthy inspection. Most places do a pretty thorough inspection aswell. Can fail here for anything from bearings to seatbelt tensioners.

Last weekend redid my rocker cover gasket, installed a new oil breather (being optimistic that I will find a cdti air box soon to replace the crossover n shit). Then new rims this week as I had two cracked rims. Wahhhh. Finished fitting the fuel pump (minus in-tank FPR, not used for the Z20LET). Also trial fitted the radiator and found that my front subframe mount fouls on the bottom of the factory Z20LET fan. Will probably need to get an aftermarket thermo fan (as I will also need to run a thermatic switch anyway).

Well, it looks that way. It is in fact the radiator as used in the Astra Turbo.

Can't say I have, but may consider getting one myself if I can't get an airbox sorted in the Corsa anytime soon.
