unfortunatly it is only the uninteresting stuff that has arrived other than the lightened flywheel / uprated clutch and the VXR AFM and fuel rail
Not worth it. For it to pass roadworthy, engine has to remain stock. Can't even have a flash tune. I can get away with some differences in the intake piping though. Plus, if I was going to go to that effort, there's a high flow intake manifold available that nets significant gains on tuned Z20LETs that I'll look at down the track.

How will they know if it's not exactly the standard ROM on the ECU though? I'm not saying you should do it, I'm just curious as to how indepth they are when checking for stuff like that.
I guess there is a way. I'd say tuners often would leave their own stamp in the code somewhere, which would be flagged as a dead giveaway. I know when I plug the OP-COM into a Z18XE, it'll tell me in the connection status when the ECU has been replaced or reprogrammed, so if flash tunes such as the IPF leave a signature behind in the same manner, it'll probably be found just as easily.
