Removed intake manifold to get to the coolant hoses on the rear of the engine. Intake manifold is filthy as, so it will get a good cleaning up before going back on (waiting on new gasket anyway). Next will be to unbolt oil cooler to put new hoses in and remove alternator to put new belt and bracket in.

If all goes to plan, I should also have the majority of parts needed to complete the job here this week.

Then lightly sanded everything around where the waterpump sits to clean it up and cleaned the heads of the pistons and block.

i definitly definitly feel your pain right there. Although its lucky it only took you 2 hrs to do it. Took me 3 days, broken crowbar broken engine mount bolt 7 drill bits 4 cutting discs 2 hammers as one broke and a cold chisle to get mine off piece by piece. Click here to enlarge

Probably took so long as my engine wasnt out of the car.

    Such pain.

I had this happen on an engine outside the car once too. All I did was remove the rear coolant pipe and 3 way hose, get an 1/2" extension bar in where the back of the water pump is and smash the f@%# out of it. Obviously, it's not that easy with the engine in the car.

YAY! I also had a small order arrive today.

I'll be ordering new brake stuff later today too now that I've been paid. Hopefully I can get everything landed before we close for Christmas and then I'll have a few days to just work on the car.

Only thing I've got to order now is the crossover delete hoses. Other than that, I've pretty much ordered all I need to get it running.
