Original alarm, is it possible to mount this in an opel?

Hello.

is there any one that have mounted an original alarm in an veccy?
i have the chance to get the parts that i needs from an other veccy..
i have an 2001 modell and i can get the parts from an 2000 modell..

if someone have done this before, then i have been verry glad for the information..

can i use my original keys on the new central lock / alarm relay?
(maybe the old keys must be programmed with tech2? )

do i need the security key card from the car that i have taken the parts from?

If no one answers your question here, try doing a search in the 'How To' section of the forum - it may have been done by someone at sometime there...

If still no luck, try some Opel O/S forums, I'm sure they'll have the answer to your inquiry above...

You could also try a service centre, I know most local ones here are next to useless, but just maybe you may get lucky...

How much is is costing you?

I bought the top of the line mongoose alarm, and had it installed, cost me a total of $410.

Haven't heard of anyone doing it here.
