It also allows you to run your setup without the cross-over pipe

Yes we know of the 2.2 and the Veccy VXR airbox aswell, just was asking if anyone had done this before.Ahhh, that's what you guys are on about, I see now - seen that been done to heaps of Astras with the 2.2 airbox
I will give it a go next week when i have some time. Ive had a good look and cant see why it wont fit.

Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.
This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Tried this yesterday while I was changing the oil and I doesn't work, well for the standard G SRi-T box anyway. The lid sits too high and the bonnet can't close, so I guess the 1.9 box is still the best option.
Cant we just get the lid of a 1.9 or a 2.2 box and clip it onto the SRI-T bottom half?
Or is the sizes different?
