Saw a Camaro in Elsternwick monday night. Black and sounded hot! Couldn't see if it was LHD or RHD, as it was pretty dark, but the car was unmistakable.

Unique? Hot? Nice Sounding? Will only get worth more if history repeats itself? Easy part access? Still cheaper than a GTR? How often do you race your car and how often do you cruise?

In the end i guess it comes down to comfort Click here to enlarge guessing suspension on camaro will be in true yank fashion... crud but will have 'yank' seating which maybe a good thing but if your small like me then the side bolstering will do nothing and you will be thrown around (just like my astra Click here to enlarge).

The GTR is an awesome Track Car, for a car you would get for everyday i dont think so IMO... frankly at that price id rather a M5 or RS4 Click here to enlarge

You are very miss-informed there...just read up on the hundreds of owners/reviewers comments everywhere for proof of that one...

The R35 GT-R is in fact an excellent vehicle for everyday use not just for track days, its ride comfort etc. is no worse than any other typical hi po car, probably better in fact Click here to enlarge

One of the dozens of attributes that makes that car so good and outstanding...

Efficiency is not a strong point, but niether is it for any true hi po car, especially in the performance class of the GT-R...

As for the Camaro, for those who must have one here in Aust. and can or want to spend up to 150k +, well their choice, each to their own but as said that price point opens the door to many other desirable choices, as much as I like the Camaro I'd skip it and go for one of the others, my 2 top choices would be between the new upcoming Audi TT-RS and the R35 GT-R, I would even entertain the idea of a Porker and at least test drive the Caymen S to see how much or not that grabs me Click here to enlarge

Actually it isn't... Considering it's been developed here in Australia by Holden... This really is a Holden vehicle, which is why it's ironic that they won't be sold here in Australia officially.

Yes. It's basically a VE Commodore underneath. Same platform, modified to suit the dimensions of the Camaro.
