    Unscheduled Outage 19/05/2009

    Hi all,

Our host's networks failed this morning at approximately 8AM. As a result of this, all of their client's websites, including OpelAus, was thrown offline.

This is pretty much the last straw for me and Peter, and we will be making some changes in the near future to prevent this happening again, as it is unacceptable. Granted that mistakes do happen, but it has happened too much in such a short timeframe (5 months).

    Thanks.

EDIT: It was discovered that the failure was caused by a faulty switch.

lol, Telstra usually wouldnt admit to that... well they dont admit to it when somthing goes down at work because we bill them for lost time Click here to enlarge

good to know its all running now though...
Sure, we dont have to worry about viking raids or scurvy anymore, but instead we make a daily routine of sitting in flimsy, fibreglass (or metal) boxes full of gasoline which are propelled in opposing directions on the freeway at velocities matching that of low flying aircraft.

This is a roundabout way of saying that cars are dangerous....

Actually this time, Telstra had nothing to do with it.
