    lol at jerram

4 means the most to me.
    thats my best mates car.
    to me its like...
euro drivin mates, standing proud, tackling the roads together...

and btw yes i went home and hosed the car soooo well (was salt water), half the reason i washed it.

2 is my least fav, i didnt take it. had no control, but i liked the contrast of my car v surrounding, but would have been better if the flash didnt get caught on the ground.

    Advice?

    Hi,

    just looking for some advice...

has anyone taken photos of fire at night?
want to do some arty shots with my car and fire at my house.
want to know things like iso, exposure, shutter speed...

do you thtink i should light the car up with a spotlight too, or just rely on the fires.

we got a 7 x 8m concrete pad up the back, with a 2.5m high limestone wall at the back.
i sorta got the shot planned out...
oh, fires will be in 2 halves of a 44 gallon drum and 2 washing machine drums, so i've got 4 largish fires, and was prob gonna put some fuel soaked wood on some A4 sized metal trays we have.

depends on what you want from the photo??

do you want something that looks 'fire and brimstone evil'?? then low-med Iso say 400 at most, quick shutter speed so it catches embers without trails, exposure will need to be high as its nighttime and light is scarce..

Change your settings to take raw images.
There is so much more you can do with them.
Send it anyway and I'll have a play.

With carpark image, you can notice the lights in the top corners are taking over the photo in a way. What I'd suggest for you to do is lower the highlights in the photo, but still keep the level of normal light fairly neutral.
Colour saturation, red and blue I'd put up maybe +5 to +10, and the other colours I'd put down.

If you compare the original with the one you've edited, you can notice especially with your car, its not washed out into the background anymore.
Also I'd crop it a little. Your aim is to focus on the 2 cars, but atm there's too much wasted space in a way around them.

I just had a quick play at work, and this it what I've done
