Yeah I got one of them.
Got it awhile back so I can't remember how much difference it made, but that + a cold air pipe seems to help it along, especially when the engine warms up.

I think you'd be wasting your money. Unless you completely separate the pod from the engine bay your still sucking in hot air and that bit of steel is just going to get hot and restrict flow
Just do what i did and got to bunnings and buy a peice of sheet metal and build one yourself
