The HD Desktop Image Thread

I'm always looking for new Desktop backgrounds and as there are so many good photographers on OA, I thought it would be a great idea to start an open thread where anyone can upload and post a home made HD image suitable for a desktop Background.

It's probably a good idea to post the image with resolution info and what type of monitor it will look best on. I use http://www.imageshack.us/ because it wont resize your image. I'll start with an example, You could use it as a template:

Resolution: 1920x1080
Looks Best On: Any full HD LCD or Plasma TV or Monitor
OS: Windows XP/Vista/W7
