New member wants opinion

G'day All,

Have just joined as I am looking to buy the bride a new car.

I am looking at an 03 Turbo Convertible. She wants blue but I can only find black and silver ones. Did they make blue?

How much boost do these come standard with and what PSI can you run in them saftley?

Do you rekon they are a good choice?

the vert only got black and silver in the turbo, the 3dr/sri-t got black, blue and silver.

great car, nothing much goes wrong with them.

they run 7psi stock with a 12psi overboost.
a $400 remap which some of us do on here for them brings it upto about the maximum the turbo can push without pushing it too far. which targets about 15psi, with an overboost of 18-22psi, but normally without an exhaust ect will drop off in the higer revs to about 11-12psi.

Yep, Pretty keen on one.

I had to find something that had 4 seats, was fun to drive, droptop, turbo for me (I currently own a 300kw VE SS and prevuoisly had a r32GTR) and was pretty easy on the maintainence and insurance.

Overboost function? Is there a button or just comes on WOT on particular gears?

Most I have seen are between 18k - 25k. Would probably rather one that has a little work already done - Intake exhaust and intercooler.

What do you think price wise?

Anyone got one for sale?

should be some on carsales normaly is.
overboost is just at high loads, so high gear wot, designed for overtaking.

Looks nice that one. Also owned by someone who appeared to take an interest in it so will probably be in good shape.

Yes quite nice, don't know about those rims though... Wonder if it also comes with the stockies.

Also, how much power do these things make at the tyres when they are tuned with the basic bolt ons. (exhaust, intake and ecu tweak)?

i of my sri-t's has ~200hp at the wheels with 3" exhaust, intake (just a pod n sheild), my remap and fmic!!

pretty sure that 1 is scrubbing too . tyres too big without gaurds rolled.
