    Hi everyone

    Hello,
    I am from Melbourne. I drive Vectra JR 2.5 V6 CD 98.
My son hit 17 recently, hence the interest in tuning/styling.
Been reading this forum (still getting used to "upside down"
order of posts) as well as Vectra club forums in UK and Russia
(yes, I can speak russian) for a while.
I have found the answers to almost all of my questions, one thing still puzzles me though: I noticed that sometimes as a part of restyling ppl get rid of
a boot lock and flatten the tailgate (looks neat and modern). I assume that
some alternative mechanism is used to open the boot instead, but which one
and how is it done? Any pointers?

    Thanks
    Yuri

    Welcome mate,
you can change the order of the posts in the User CP section up in the top bar, it's one of the options Click here to enlarge
As for the boot, when they're smoothed a popper is normally used, basically an electronic opening mechanism
