did anyone have decent hills on their way home? did you notice after the tune you dont need as much throttle to get up the hills?
i noticed this in my 1,8 astra.

cant wait for the tunes to settle in and everyone reports on the fuel economy.
the day after the tune i noticed a 50% increase in fuel.
a month later i noticed a 30% decrease in fuel usage.
the tune probably settled quicker than a month, but it was a month before i had a decent drive to be able to notice the difference.

some people may freak at the 50% increase, (like i did lol) but what they have to understand is that increase will only last a week or so...
(im sure it depends on kms travelled not time),
and after that its the 30% decrease for the life of the vehicle!, or till you sell it.

lets say you usually spend $1560 a year on fuel ($60/fortnight), with a 30% decrease your annual fuel cost is approx $1000, saving you $500. in just over 12months time the tune has paid for itself!

I'm looking forward to this decrease your talking about. I doubt i'll see it for a while as I'm constantly enjoying that surge of boost in 2nd Click here to enlarge. It hasn't even been a week yet. I assume the ECU is still tuning.

as nuggs said, dunno if you will notice in the turbo models, id say each react differently. but i definately noticed a 30% decrease. usually takes me 1 and half tanks to lower syd and back, but after tune it took me only 1 full tank.
ill be driving to canberra at the end of the month, so ill let you all know how that goes. it usually takes me 1 full tank to the outskirts of a.c.t, and 1 full tank back. so 2 full tanks return.
im guessing this time it will only take a little under 1 and half tanks return.
