i know hey... they "HSV" should have had a good look and said ok if we cant get a HSV badge for the car's airbag and we cant use the vauxhall dash clusters because of the MPH then why dont we call it the HSV OPC and source everything from germany

well the Astra VXR or OPC are STILL selling like hot cakes over in the UK and Germany

so its a good marketing ploy for over there

some guys in the UK are still putting orders in for the VXR and have to wait 6 - 8 more months from now for a VXR

so bringing 835 of a special edition into the market would sell alot more

i agree with you that its bullshit that you paint a car white, put a badge on it and different rims and sell it for more than a standard VXR

But hey if it was your company and you could do it, you bloody well would because people will buy them

That was my only point, I never said anything about the normal VXR or how well they sell.

went down to the local HSV dealer to see if they will be getting any in

they should have had one on the 4.08.08 but hasnt shown up yet

'Apparently' Melb. or Vic. HSV dealers have received a total of 6 of the 20 allocated to Aust. so you should find one here somewhere to go look at compared to other states...if not just go for a drive and pop into HSV Braybrook

Also again 'apparently' Queensland has received none, because the VXR sales there are virtually non-existant ?? so all peeps from the sunshine state who want to see or buy one....well better organise to go interstate...

Carsales.com.au has one VXR Astra in Casablanca White listed for Queensland yet to see any in WA
