    Number Plate stolen

I am so over the shits who do things to my car.

this mornign about 6:30ish, my mum and dad were awoken by some kid doing a burnout on my street, then a large bang. dad looked out the window and saw three kids hurridly walking up the street, so dad went out side inspected my car and found my rear number plate ripped off. so dad ran after these tools, who had fortunately ditched the number plate... all claiming it wasn't them, although a guy who was on the street at the same time, saw it happen and told dad it was them.

So i still have my number plate... although now bent, and the cover is screwed.

dad wants to basically put four holes, (one in each corner) to secure it to the boot, as it was just ripped straight over the screws.

On my last car i had my alarm hooked up to my number plates (as they were previously stolen), but i don't really have an alarm on this car i don't think :S although it worked well, it was a big hassell hooking it up

    any ideas?

This is a common occurrence, it's happened to my Brother twice now at his place.....he now wisely uses his garage at all times LOL...

The most common reason is for use for a servo fill up and run !!!

Hence the recent Police number plate security screws freebie install offers...
My rides: 2004 Opel/Bertone TS Astra turbo convertible - 2012 Mercedes Benz C204 C Class coupe

I doubt that the use of the security screws would've stopped these kids... they ripped the plate off over the screws... broke the protector and left the screws still attached to the car...

I had it happen a few years back but i knew who those were and there was coolant thrown on the car too... howqever i believe this to be a bunch aof bored teenagers who just saw an opporuntiy to rip off my number plates...

I'm just pissed off as my car is a major target on my street and due to our electric gate its almost impossible for me to park on the front lawn out of harms way ...

I just hate how people think its okay to damage other peoples property. I mean yes its only a car, but its my car and I hate ****ers egging it and attempting to steel my plates..

luckily my dad ran after the shits and got the plate back (although they swore they did nothing ) the plate was dumped on the footpath a few houses up.
