Please bornwild....you seriously need to do some homework..

The 2.5L turbo engine in the focus and volvo is 100% VOLVO...its a B5254T3 engine <look it up>.

Its the lastest engine developed by Volvo since the debut of the engine in the 850 back in 1993. So...tell me a ford that was using a I5 turbo back in 1990 - 2000's

They also have a non turbo engine exactly the same.. B5254S :clap:

Yep confirms exactly what you said...The engine is Volvo..developed and manufactured by Volvo (a car company owned by Ford).

The 2.5L I5 Turbo you call ford...is a duratec...hmmmm i dont see any duratec engine that ford makes in I5 ....could it be Volvo.

In Europe, all Ford gasoline engines are called Duratec...whether made by ford or not...becoz all the other Duratec engines in ford are Mazda made MZR engines...

I'm not sure that Volvo is owned by Ford, I think that there is only a business relationship; quite a strong one at that but I don't think that Ford has direct ownership over them; again not sure on that point.

And what?...Duratec are a completely different family of engines...so I really don't know what you're aiming at with that piece of information.

And yeah, hehe the wikipedia 'reference' was lame, I agree; but my googling skills limited me to using it since it was the only web-site supporting what I had known

But times are changing and the Ford-owned Swedish maker's five-cylinder engine is an excellent starting point for a compact fast car. Turbocharged in the XR5, the 2.5-litre engine makes 166kW, which is 5kW more than the 4.0-litre six-cylinder engine of the first XR6 Falcon back in 1991.

The only LS Focus for sale in Oz built in Saarlouis, Germany, where the LR Focus was built, the XR5 Turbo is a rebadged Focus ST from Europe. In fact, the cars still have the ST badging on their engines. Here it goes:
It's a revamped Volvo T5 engine, manufactured by Ford with new injectors, flywheel and a remapped ECU.

its a Volvo Engine through and through. Its the same Engine thats fitted to the S40/V50 T5 Series.

The Mondeo XR5 turbo has a 2.5l turbocharged V5, not a 2.3l.

Just to confirm with you before you start missleading everyone again. (although others have confirmed it ) Volvo Produce a Inline 5 Cylinder engine .

Again you have shot your own credablitly down.
