speed cut, as in hit limiter?
yer i know, was thinkin more of a motec system exhaust
with the new gearbox and all the shit in teh GTR i doubt many ecu's would be better than it.

Guys, guys, nothing surprising there.........
The new GT-R has been posting mid 11sec 1/4's now all over he World stock standard straight out of the box !!!!! and yes it's been hindered by the rev limiter - I mentioned this on the GTS/R thread
And yes, so far the major tuners in Japan have been unable to crack the ecu and alot of other 'blockers' put in there by Nissan, very clever people they are
The fact is, it is capable of running an 11 neat or high 10 without the 180km/h limiter kicking in to spoil the fun
V-spec might see this limiter liftted
Dyno runs being done have shown that the car developes Nissan's quoted power/torque figures 'at the wheels' not at the engine, clever and shifty they are at Nissan
What an absolutely stunning and epic vehicle..........................!!!
I WANT ONE OF THESE BEAUTIES BAAADDDLYYYY !!!!!
Check out this white one with colour coding and a neat set of aftermarket mags aaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhh

Speed limiter not rev limiter. apparently it will do 180kph in 3rd/4th/5th/6th
And the limiter is lifted provided you are at one of the recognised race tracks built into the GTR's gps...thing is to keep your warranty you have to have a $1000 service after each time you take it to a track.
Subaru MY08 STi - Alpine white
Hammond to Clarkson: "if the STi is faster your gonna look like such a knob!"
209kw at all 4.
Oops wrong word there, meant speed limiter yes
And yes alot of it is GPS controlled, all those ones that have been imported need some settings done to them as apparently it 'knows' when it's out of Japan and it won't even fire up !!!
Once again clever Nissan to stop the 'grey import' trade on their new Godzilla as they want Nissan dealers World wide to sell the car
I think it's a fair price to pay if you want to track the car, as they are also offering the first 3 years of servicing/tuning etc. for free

Your choice (I'm assuming you like the white) reflects World wide opinion, ie: white is the no.1 selling colour for this car so far
V-spec does in fact have a different/modified front - you may like that one or one of many already available aftermarket ones.....
As for the thread, Poita and BR kick started it off again after being quiet for some time, but I would've probably done it sooner or later, I admit it
As for me getting one, yes, I think about it alot and if I don't expend on other vehicles, I may be in a position to do so in a couple of years, doubt this thread will last that long
