    Posting pictures to the Album

How do we go about uploading the pics from the QLD cruise to the album?

go to the album page, then click on "OpelAus Cruise Pictures"

at the top and bottom of the page are the Click here to enlarge button

and there u have it Click here to enlarge

Note to Turblue: maybe we should have different folders for each cruise, or each state or something cos it will get fairly unorganised after a while.

Note to Self: Upload QLD cruise pictures Click here to enlarge 8)

speaking of which, can we get the size limit changed?

it is almost impossible to get 800x600 pictures to upload using that limit, infact i still can upload half my pictures when i scale to 600x450 without mucking around with the compression

    thanks

    Size limits were introduced to:

    1: Reduce loading times,
2: Save space on the server,
3: Keep the webpages looking neat. (not scrolling off the screen)

    The specifications are:

1: Only *.jpg extension picture file.
    2: 800x600 resolution.
3: 100kb maximum file size. (raised from 80kb)

This way we can have heaps of pics online, and they won't take days to load. After all, we are not all on broadband. Idealy, I would prefer people that link to offsite pics to load them onto our album. We have some threads that are simply a pain to view due to the time they take to load. I (or any admin) can add sections to the album quite easily. If you want more, just ask. Please consider this an option when posting pictures. We have, as some are aware, had to alter posts that have had many pictures loading.

i just downloaded that program, and it works very well
i've been using photoshop in the past but this is obviously much simpler, with resizing its purpose
