A Q about adding attachments to posts

    Hi all

Is there a limit to the number / total size of attachments that I have added to posts? I ask because it looks like 100k is the maximum total size of attachments in all posts that I have submitted??? Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks
    Chris

Chris, each file you upload is limited to 100k.

100k is not the total of all images you are allowed to upload.

    WTF? Looking into it.

Some users have 1.5mb... 500k of total attachments....

But none of them are over 100k.

PMFJI, but my experience has been the same as that of OZChris in that when I tried attaching photos to my posts, I was also told via automated message several months ago that I could post no more than 100Kb IN TOTAL, which is why I've not uploaded any pictures since.

I've always thought that was a bit minimalist so I hope you're right when you suggest that there is in fact no limit. I'll be interested to see what you find once you've checked the system.

Thanks Rhino, I've also not posted any images due to the same problem that Bill_G and OZChris have reported.

I just added another file in the testing zone.

    My total is now 150kb...

I can't actually see in the Admin panel that we have set a total limit... only a per file limit which you can see when you try to attach a file.

Added another one... I'm up to 222kb...

    OK.

    I've found it.

Yes, it is managed on a userlevel... level (too many levels)...

I will discuss this with the rest of the staff and see if we can't bump it up a bit...

    Stay tuned.
