I noticed that Opelaus.com is not that mobile friendly..... is there something that could be done to make it more mobile friendly?
Thanks

In relation to Buy, Sell and Trade section within the forums. I've noticed alot of Ebay links appearing in the main section of the forum. Could someone from the admin team please confirm if these posts should be posted in the sub section area called 'Auction Links'?
If so, I know its not really my place to say so, but can people post these links within the correct section.
Maybe a suggestion might be to change the name to 'EBay Buy Now/Auction Links' and make it a NIL post count (if not already) to aviod SPAM.
My two cents, sorry guys.

my honest and sincerest apologies to everyone.
i promise there will not be a repeat of this in the future.
i am certain this has been bought up because of my badge post.
i shall "spam" no more.
just to clarify i dont post to acheive just another post count, i post ebay stuff only with the intention to help.
again, i am very sorry
Mate, please, dont be sorry, I was just keen as it would be a good idea of having all the ebay links in one area within the buy and sell forum.
Your intentions are good and there are people out there that are greatful for the links back to ebay, as alot of people dont get the time to search these items themselves. So dont feel bad.
Everyone in opelaus are here to help each other out and share a common intrest. At the end of the day, your making that happen

making a section with a 0 post count doesnt avoid spam..
the spammers here, dont spam to be 'post whores'..
i suppose there are a few different types of spammers,
some spam to get sites recognised, including referal spammers
some spam just to be a**holes
some spam just to build up post counts, these spammers comments usually have nothing to do with the threads topic or nothing to do with anything mentioned in the thread.
making certain posts not add to a users post count makes sense in a way, it sure would weed out the post count spammers.
and some spammers arent spammers at all, they just have alot to say
just a suggestion to make things more navigation friendly...
say you want to find out how to remove your door trim...
ill use astra section for an example.
click on astra section from main forum page...
this opens to a page where you find a list of areas of the car
eg
engine and transmission
interior panels and parts
exterior panels and parts
wheels and tyres
electrical
etc etc
so you click on interior panels and parts
this can either open a page to the appropriate topics
or it could open to another list of areas which delves even further, to make your search more effective...
eg ,
in interior panels and parts section you find a list like,,,
dash panels and parts
door panels and parts
boot/trunk panels and parts
etc etc.
so for the door trim info youd search the door panels and parts section.
i dont know if this has been suggested before but id happy spare my time to help sort the topics for admin if they were to go further with this idea.
i think this would lead to less posts on the same topic
i think this idea would also be most useful in the "how to" section
i know people could just use the search function but i dont know how many times ive used search and been faced with a multitude of topics which have nothing to do with what im searching for.
the best place for How To on the astra is here
http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...ad.php?t=96753
as such, perhaps just a sticky link to that?
cheers for the info, ive already visited that site loads of times and yes it is very useful.
however my message wasnt asking to get help finding how tos etc, it was just a suggestion to make opelaus more user friendly and make it easier to navigate overall, not just in how tos.
cheers, jason.
ps, the how to was just used as an example.
