got my licence 1st time in SA. which i must say, is a far more intense test. no wonder there are so many shocking drivers in qld.
here, it was 3rd time lucky.. both failures, were by the same testing officer, for the most complete and utter bullshit reasons. apparantly doing 50 in a 60 zone was a critical error, and overtaking a parked truck (he said i was closer than 1.5m, i said i wasnt, but he is god). another critical error.
ITT: Money Making.
1st time at the ripe old age of 16. Had my mates tail-gating me (they thought it would be funny) and made a few mistakes. That's NZ licence testing for ya. You just about had to crash to fail!
2... well 2.5
Did my test in our 96' 3.5 Manual Pajero :cornut:
First time i sped, so i booked again, went in and they said na we wont take you tyres are too bald, and we were like WHAT! we just had the car serviced and they said there was a couple of 1000 ks left in them...
so booked again, for a week later, did it and passed tho im pretty sure i had to do shit all parking and U turns (1 forward park, 1 u turn in an intersection (a massive intersection, lol )), just cos i was driving the tank :D
Car license........... 1st time the 1st time and 1st time the 2nd time.
Truck license ......... " "
M/cycle license......" "
Boat license .........." "
Wholly crap, I just realized how many licenses I've got.....
Fishing license
Pistol license
Longarms license
Business license
and a heap more, I must be keeping every gov't bureaucrat employed.
first time on L's, first time on P's, aced teh test. even did a reverse park in a car with no power steering.
first time for forklift and first time for stock picker
first time l's and p's.
In my p's when i did reverse point to point i just put the clutch in and didn't grab reverse as we were on a slight hill so i was just able to roll backwards. Of course when i went to take off, the car seemed really slow, because it turns out i'd just taken off in third :p only found out at the end of the test. Examiner said he would have taken points off if i'd stalled, but because i didn't, it showed good clutch control and he was actually quite impressed :cornut:
Ahh forgot to mention i went for my license twice, went for auto when i was 18, then had to get my manual license for work insurance purposes, first time i drove an AH was on the manual test, was spankers back in '05!!!
Lucky i drove the car to the test, cos i turned on the wipers instead of indicating, was so used to the G being the wrong way!!
