I know the 2.0 Turbo Jetta comes with the same brakes/engine/DSG as the Golf GTI, but not sure what brakes the 1.4 twincharged has.
You are correct, they have excellent bite.

and also got it bogged :woohoo1:
Ordered my rear braided lines, booked the car in to get the courtnaysport uprated actuator to be fitted, got an email confirming that i will have my big brake kit by next week :D
Hey CNBLU, I also have that Courtenay uprated actuator. The threat on the actuator rod isn't very strong and the bolts get stuck very quick (if you know what I mean, not sure how to explain that......) Even wd40, won't get them off if needed. Not sure what can be done about that but possibly some high temp grease. I had to cut the whole rod off and weld a new piece of threat onto it.
huh? dont get it dutchy?
Ok thanks for the tip, but its already come off a car?
They'll be fine mate, i took them off by hand. Just clean the thread up slightly ;)
Yes, thanks Neeko, that's what I actually meant, it can "cross thread" very easy with the courtenay uprated actuator. Mine did so after only 2 weeks on the car. Could be the original bad quality bolts or the thread on the actuator itself.
