Just got 4 new tyres. The 40 profile prices were making me sad so I thought I'd look at 45. I ended up getting the new potenza re003 for $140 each after the $100 cashback.
The extra bit of sidewall really helps fill the guards.
It will be good to take it for a drive and see how they go, all the reviews online seem to just be from the same cookie cutter bridgestone sponsored event.

That's a pretty good price for those tyres. Be interesting to see how they perform.

Would be due to emissions standards at a guess. An aftermarket ecu allows you to change and modify those emissions.

Yep. Programmable ECU is illegal even if it has a tune that passes emission testing basis being able to be altered

Read the news? VW may be in very big trouble, to the tune of $7.5b.
The ecu is the cars runs x tune during normal use. When the car is hooked up to emissions testing equipment it uses m tune, which allows it to pass these tests.
