What do you think about 205s on the stock rims... tried? Have just had a major expense pop up so new rims are out for me now!

I can't see it being too much trouble. I haven't done it myself though. But according to the table here (not sure on it's accuracy) http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/ty...opic60146.html, 205 is the recommended maximum for a 6" wide rim. 185 and 195 would be the ideal sizes apparently.
I'm running 205 45 on stock rims. with the coilovers the car is on it scapes bad on the front. although the michelins that just replaced the kuhmo's on the front are much better in terms of scrubbing as they don't have as wide a shoulder.
will be raising the car soon which should solve all the issues.
back on topic.
rinsed the astra and cleaned the wheels.
Drove it on a dirt road and coated it in dust, no regrets.

Cleaned the MAF sensor, air filter and catch can
took it for a few laps around Lakeside and just clicked over 3000km on it as I arrived home
astra - nothing
the lancer - wired up the new twin cam for it
