Friday it got a new 3" exhaust from turbo back (4" dump pipe straight off turbo v band)
finished ECU and coil pack wiring. Put some plugs and oil in it and hooked up battery... and tested reverse lights (they were hooked up wrong since the first rebuild)
It was ready to go get tuned... Then the key barrel started playing up... :(
Arranged for someone to come and remove those seized/over-torqued lock nuts. Not cheap, but at least it'll get done.
In regards to the two tonne Korean paperweight, it's on its way to being repaired. About two to three weeks from now, it'll drain my bank account to the tune of $7k. Ouch.
Bought more Penrite pro gear, gonna drop the gearbox oil and put the mtech shifter in at the same time when it arrives
Changed some interior lights to blue SMD LED's, couldn't get my stereo out last night which pissed me off though...
Finally got the leadlights level after fitting electric motors to the Depo angel eyes a few months back. Phillips 4300k bulbs in the low beam projectors and fog lights. The high beam reflectors run H7 bulbs as well so when I get a HID kit from TRS I'll chuck the 4300k halogens in the high beams so all the lights have the same colour. Pulled the projectors apart, they came stock with clear lenses which is great but the adjustable cutoff shield (RHD or LHD) is terrible so I'm going to make a custom curved cutoff shield for them. I was going to go a full bi-xenon conversion but the new projectors would be too hard to install so I think I'll leave that until funds permit some genuine OEM projector headlights from the UK or Germany.
